After moving here from Taiwan at age 14, I kept up with Mandarin Chinese by writing letters to friends and reading Chinese newspaper. Chinese was always spoken at home. After graduating from college, I worked as a graphic artist at one of the top printing companies. On Sundays, I taught Chinese at Naperville Chinese School. This was from 1994-1996. In the early 2000, I started attending a Chinese Buddhist Temple, and am one of the key volunteers in writing articles for monthly newsletter.
